Along the way we often discard our unique identity, our creativity, intuition and gut feelings to choose "safer", more "sensible" or "acceptable" paths in order to conform and please others. By relying solely on that which we have been taught and how we have been shaped, we become blind to that which is possible outside of our conditioning, as it relates to us and the world around us.
We are unique as human beings for a reason
Each of us has something of value to contribute to the great tapestry of life and to the world around us. Yet often, in the process of gaining an education, of conforming to an expected career path, or drifting from one path to another, we get lost in the day-to-day busyness of life. We disconnect from the very things that we were designed to be brilliant at and neglect the needs we need to have met if we are to thrive.
In this environment it can be easy to become clones, feeling like we're trapped in living someone else's life. Left feeling unfulfilled and depleted, knowing that there must be more to life, searching but not quite knowing what it is that's missing or how to find it.
What we are searching for is our essence and unique purpose. But we often cannot see it as we have been conditioned to be someone else, to conform to someone else's view of who we should be and of how we should view the world.
We have a capacity to question our beliefs
How often have you ever stopped to think about the beliefs you have often subconsciously taken on? Are these beliefs valid? Have these beliefs become redundant, but are still taught in school, held at work or passed on from generation to generation? Are they serving you to be your authentic best and to achieve at your highest potential? Or have you taken on someone else's limiting beliefs as your own, without question? Do these beliefs really serve society and a higher purpose? What if you could overwrite your conditioning?
You can choose to see the world through a fresh lens and a new perspective
Imagine what your life could be like if you could reconnect with your innate zone of greatness. Change your mindset and the lens through which you view yourself and your world to open yourself up to see and shape a world of greater possibilities and potential.
What can you do to get started?
Create the space to reconnect with who you really are, find out what lights you up and create strategies to do more of what you love to do. Even a small change, such as creating a small space in your busy day to do something that you're strong in and love can make a big difference to your work enjoyment and well-being as well as to the quality of your contributions.
